Harvested in the very early days of Spring from the centuries-old tea trees growing at 1600 meters on Bulang Mountain, this 2025 vintage offers a new expression of one of Yunnan's most revered tea terroirs.

While the 2023 harvest was marked by a drier climate that intensified sweetness and delayed astringency, the 2025 harvest, full of precious buds and the first apical leaves picked in the earliest warm days of Spring, reveals a balanced character. Known for its bold profile and mineral-rich bitterness, Laoman’e delivers a uniquely complex experience shaped by both its terroir and ancient roots.
In 2025, a more balanced climate brought out a another expression of this powerful tea. The bitterness arrives gently, layered beneath floral undertones and a cool sweetness that spreads across the palate. This vintage offers a smooth, round profile.

A lingering aftertaste of wild herbs, bamboo leaves, mint, juniper, strawberry tree honey, citrus peel, and subtle florals leaves the mouth refreshed, with the characteristic astringency and bitterness gently lingering.

Its complex flavour is the result of the skilled craftsmanship and deep knowledge of the Bulang minority, the first people to cultivate tea trees in Yunnan. The trees grow without chemical fertilisers, and the leaves are handpicked and processed traditionally, without any mechanical intervention.
Their craft, paired with the vitality of ancient trees, brings forth a tea that evolves beautifully in the cup and in the years to come.
