2017 Ancient Trees Shupu - Yiwu Terroir
The softness and sweetness of Yiwu terroir have given the teas of this area of Yunnan, for centuries a fundamental stop on the Tea Route and the main source of the imperial tea tribute, the title of Queen of Pu'er. In this pu'er shu, made in the spring of 2017 and left to age in its forest of centuries-old trees until the leaves were pressed in 2022, all the complexity of the historical terroir from which it originates is expressed: notes of undergrowth mix with the gentle softness of jujubes, goji berries, steamed rice, and chestnut honey, which envelops and warms the body.
The raw material that created the unique complexity and body of this tea comes from Mahei and Guafengzhai areas.
The different sides of Yiwu area all have their own identifying flavor, and contribute to constantly recreate the idea of authenticity.
