After our journey through the lands of Green tea in the Chapter 2, we begin a new adventure into the fragrances of Wulong tea with this new chapter of our Tea Club.

We begin our journey from our home in Yunnan, the land that sustains our work and inspires every leaf we share. Among its forests and ancient mountains, we explore three singular Wulongs: the honeyed, bug-bitten Oriental Beauty from Ninger, the floral Tieguanyin from Tengchong, and the smooth, mineral Yunnan Wulong from Lincang. Each expresses a different face of this vast land — from volcanic highlands to subtropical valleys — where tea grows in harmony with its environment.

From Yunnan, our path leads east to Fujian, where we devote this chapter to the celebrated Rougui cultivar. Here, we explore five different Rougui teas from distinct zones of the Wuyishan areafrom the highest cliffs of the core park to its peripheral and outer mountains. This unique tasting offers the rare opportunity to experience how the same cultivar transforms under the influence of altitude, stone, soil, and light, revealing a complete portrait of the Wuyi terroir.

We invite you to follow us in this new adventure by tasting eight exceptional Wulongs that represent the pinnacle of craftsmanship, each telling a unique story of terroir, tradition, and transformation:

From Yunnan province

From Wuyi Mountains, Fujian 福建省武夷山

  • Zhenyan Rougui 肉桂争艳, from the highest cliffs of the core area
  • Banyan Rougui 半岩肉桂, from peripheral rocky zones inside the park
  • Gaoshan Rougui 高山肉桂, from high mountain trees
  • Zoucha Rougui 洲茶肉桂, from riverbank area inside the park
  • Waishan Rougui 外山肉桂, from outside of the park

Together with these 8 samples, you'll receive also three sticks of our natural incense Osmanthus 桂花, with sweet and elegant notes to pair with the charming fragrances of wulong tea. We invite you to explore how incense can deepen your tea experience, allowing aroma and flavour to unfold in harmony.

As you receive your tea samples, you will find a welcome letter with links to extensive content on the ancient and modern history of the area, geography and culture. You will then have access to a reserved Community chat area where we continue to upload new contents, and you can share your own tasting notes, observations, and travel stories.

You will also have access to the live online webinar (the recording will also be available in the community) and the informative material, in which we will explore each mountain, share with the participants the direct experiences of our trips on site and talk deeper about blending and incense pairing. We invite you to start tasting the samples as soon as you receive them, but we suggest to keep few grams to taste again and comment together during the online meeting.

Each chapter of our tea club will be available on our shop until stocks last.
