2026 Nannuo Sheng Pu'er, Wild Forest Stone-pressed cake
Harvested and hand-crafted in Spring 2026, this fresh Sheng Pu'er captures the vivid feeling of an evening breeze in the forests of Yunnan, after the sun of daytime has warmed the leaves and released their spring fragrance all through the air.
The leaves that we carefully picked, processed and pressed into cake, were born and nurtured by the high mountain wild forest on Nannuo mountain, where 40–50 year-old tea trees grow naturally in the shaded underwood. The rich biodiversity of this environment is enclosed every year in the Sheng Pu'er tea that gently brings all the forest fragrance in your cup.
The first infusion is gentle and delicate, yet carries surprising depth in flavour. Wild flowers, fresh herbs and tender new-born leaves full of chlorophyll come to the mind as we inhale the fragrance of steeped leaves. A gentle and unexpected fruity sweetness characterizes fresh Nannuo Shengpu, with surprising hints of apples and tropical delights.
The aftertaste is round and refreshing, filling the mouth with balmy and vibrant fragrances. As the aftertaste lingers, a clear and steady Qi rises, serene, bright, and enlivening, echoing the quiet strength of the Nannuo forests.
The optimal weather and environmental conditions of harvest 2026 allowed these leaves to grow with gentle sun and consistent fog. The good balance of sunny days that preceded and followed the harvest allowed the leaves to store less catechins and produce more aminoacids, translating in less astringency and more fragrance. Moreover, the Yunnanese traditional sun-drying technique was flawless, leaving all our Yueguangbai and Pu'er teas a great aging potential.
