2023 Xigui Shu Pu'er - Wild Forest Pu'er tea
A soft and round Pu'er Shu, where the unmistakable undergrowth aroma of Shupu is met by a gentle body caressing the palate. This fermented Pu'er tea is created with the unique leaves growing in Xigui village, in Lincang prefecture, known for the peculiar technique used to cultivate tea trees: they are trimmed along the branches leaving only the top tips to flourish. These willow-shaped trees earned Xigui tea the nickname "The Willow Leaf Flying Dagger of Pu'er". This peculiar method concentrates nutrients in the top tea buds and leaves, resulting in a robust, full-bodied tea that withstands multiple infusions.
The tea trees in Xigui grow in lush forests on hills androck crevices facing the banks of Lancang river, providing fresh water, nutrition and good humidity.
